In myofascial anatomy, acupuncture points on the Superficial Back Arm Line (SBAL) are often useful for pain in the trapezius, upperback, and lumbo-pelvic regions. Fascially, there are direct and indirect connections between the forearm extensors, trapezius, and latissimus dorsi. Understading the myofascial anatomy related to the functions of acupuncture points can greatly assist in making better point selections and improving clinical results.
